LTI-03 Phase 1b safety cleared in IPF, now enrolling 120-patient Phase 2 — biomarker signals encouraging but efficacy unproven

Rein raised $50M at $1.00 per share to fund its LTI-03 program in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a progressive scarring lung disease with high unmet need, through Phase 2 completion. Phase 1b met its primary safety endpoint and five exploratory biomarkers trended favorably at the high dose, but no clinical efficacy has been demonstrated yet. Whether RENEW delivers a meaningful clinical benefit signal determines the thesis; the IPF field is crowded with mechanistically distinct small molecules, and LTI-03 carries no clinical efficacy data entering a 120-patient randomized trial.
