Quince Therapeutics rebrands as IRulya, names new CEO - Investing.com

IRulya Therapeutics (formerly Quince Therapeutics) is a clinical-stage drug developer. Its only product, LAM-001, is an inhaled form of rapamycin being tested in three lung diseases: chronic rejection after lung transplant and two forms of pulmonary hypertension. It is not approved for any use.
IRulya (formerly Quince Therapeutics) sold eDSP for $450,000 in September after its Phase 3 NEAT trial in ataxia-telangiectasia missed, and now develops only LAM-001, a once-daily inhaled dry-powder rapamycin (mTOR inhibitor), in three lung diseases: bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome after lung transplant (BOS), pulmonary hypertension with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) and sarcoidosis-associated pulmonary hypertension (SAPH). Human efficacy support so far is a 10-patient open-label Phase 2a in which the four evaluable PH-ILD patients, all on background treprostinil, improved six-minute walk distance by 67.4 m and supine pulmonary vascular resistance by 33.9% at 24 weeks. The fully enrolled Phase 2 BOS trial reads out in Q1 2027, the Phase 2b PH-ILD trial in Q1 2028 and the SAPH study, starting in 4Q26, in 4Q28. Cash of $116M at June 30 is expected to fund operations through the end of 2028, past all three readouts.

IRulya's inhaled rapamycin LAM-001 faces its first test with Phase 2 BOS data in Q1 2027
Quince shed its founding A-T program and rebuilt entirely around inhaled rapamycin; the BOS readout is the first test of whether LAM-001 works in a controlled setting
Post-eDSP failure pivot to inhaled rapamycin across three rare pulmonary indications; Phase 2 BOS readout is the first test of whether LAM-001 can anchor a rebuilt company
eDSP's Phase 3 failure and development cessation leave QNCX as a cash shell pursuing strategic alternatives with a Q2 2026 runway
